Thematische netwerken als kennisreservoirs met elkaar verbinden: naar een Europees open-sourcesysteem voor kennis innovatie in de landbouw.
De doelstelling van EURAKNOS is het stimuleren van de bundeling van praktijkgerichte kennis door het opvoeren van de interacties tussen de verschillende thematische netwerken om zo de output voor de praktijk te maximaliseren. Het project zal gebaseerd zijn op de 29 bestaande netwerken en hun resultaten om deze op een interactieve manier te promoten en te ontwikkelen. Er zal een kruisbestuiving worden gemaakt tussen netwerken en tussen landen, regio’s en productiesystemen om overlappingen te vermijden.
Euraknos richt voornamelijk op datamanagement om de kennis uit die netwerken te verduurzamen en de resultaten voor eindgebruikers te optimaliseren.
Onder de netwerken, gaat het om de uitwisseling van bestaande benaderingen, methoden en instrumenten. Om de impact op de eingebruikers te maximaliseren overweegt EURAKNOS het onderzoek naar een geharmoniseerde aanpak voor toekomstige thematische netwerken. Daartoe zal EURAKNOS de behoeften van de eindgebruikers en de mogelijkheden onderzoeken om een Europees open-source systeem voor landbouwkennisinnovatie te creëren dat alle thematische netwerken met elkaar verbindt.
Hoe gaat EURAKNOS te werk?
EURAKNOS brengt een team van 16 verschillende actoren uit 10 EU-landen uit verschillende regio’s in Europa samen. Ze hebben alle relevante innovatie-expertise op het gebied van landbouw en bosbouw. Negen partners zijn reeds coördinator van tien thematische netwerken verspreid over de vier sectoroverschrijdende thema’s: gewassen, vee, bosbouw en horizontaal.
Het consortium van EURAKNOS is samengesteld uit verschillende organisaties volgens muli-actorenbenadering: de academische wereld, adviescentra, overheidsinstellingen, KMO’s, NGO’s en landbouworganisaties. Sommige partners zijn betrokken bij het Europees netwerk voor plattelandsontwikkeling en andere zijn betrokken bij andere relevante H2020 voorstellen of hebben sterke banden met relevante Europese (bv. EIP-AGRI, COPA-COGECA, EUFFRAS, lid van de SCAR SWG-AKIS-groep) en internationale organisaties (bv. de FAO, OECD, de Europese agroforestry).
Connecting Thematic Networks as Knowledge Reservoirs: towards a European Agricultural Knowledge Innovation Open Source System
EURAKNOS objective is to stimulate the compilation of knowledge ready for practice by intensifying interactions between different thematic networks in order to maximize outputs for practitioners. The project will be based on the 29 existing networks and their results to promote and develop them in an interactive way. A cross-fertilization will be made between networks and between countries, regions, production systems avoiding duplications.
EURAKNOS particularly focuses on data management to provide sustainability of knowledge coming from those networks and to optimize results for end-users.
Among networks, exchanges of existing approaches, methodologies and tools are at stake. The research of a harmonized approach is considered by EURAKNOS, for future thematic networks, in order to maximize impacts on end-users. To do so, EURAKNOS will explore the needs of end-users and the possibilities of creating a European agricultural knowledge innovation open source system connecting all thematic networks.
How does EURAKNOS proceed?
EURAKNOS brings together a team of 17 different actors from 11 EU countries from different regions in Europe. They all have relevant innovation expertise in agriculture and forestry, but 9 partners specifically are already coordinators of 10 thematic networks themselves across the 4 cross sectoral themes: crops, livestock, forestry & horizontal.
The EURAKNOS consortium is composed of different organisations according to the multi-actor approach: academia, advisory centres, government institutions, SME, NGO and farmer organisations. Some partners are involved in the European Rural Development Network and others are involved in other relevant H2020 proposals or have strong links with relevant European (e.g. EUFFRAS, member of SCAR SWG-AKIS group) and international organisations (e.g. FAO, OECD, the European Agroforestry).
